Obituary

CHICOPEE – Doris C. (Bonneau) Guillemette, 74, a longtime resident of the Willimansett section of Chicopee and currently of Ludlow, was Called Safely Home on Friday, June 10, 2022. She passed into Eternal Life at Holyoke Medical Center surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Holyoke on October 6, 1947, the beloved daughter of the late Raoul Bonneau and Marieange (Ritchotte) Bonneau Lemaire. She was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School, and lived in Chicopee for most of her life. She was employed for over 30 years in the Food Services Department at Holyoke Hospital. She was previously employed at A.G. Spalding and Falls Machine and Screw Company, both in Chicopee. She was a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church and was previously a communicant at Saint Anthony of Padua Church and Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, all in Chicopee. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and soul mate, Raymond L. Guillemette, Sr. who was Called Home on October 19, 2006. They were married on March 26, 1966 at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Chicopee and were blessed with over 40 years of happiness together. She leaves her two loving and devoted sons, Raymond L. Guillemette, Jr. and his wife, Melissa, of Agawam, and Bryan R. Guillemette and his wife, Angela, of Granby; her two cherished twin granddaughters, Chloe Michelle Guillemette and Kaelen Rae Guillemette, both of Granby; her two cherished step grandsons, Michael A. Cortese and his fiancée, Brittany Randall, of Suffield, CT, and Joseph D. Cortese of Agawam; her loving niece, Dodi J. Favreau of Chicopee; her two cherished great nieces, Alyson Favreau and Lauryn Favreau, both of Chicopee; her two dear sisters in law, Emily Bonneau of Saugerties, NY, and Pauline Dupuis and her husband, Gerald, of Chicopee; her dear brother in law, Norman Guillemette and his wife, Donna, of Enfield, CT; her companion, Dale M. Magoon and his two daughters, Andrea Sue Fish and Eryka Lynn Hosking, all of Ludlow; and her many dear cousins, friends and extended family members. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her dear brother, Robert Bonneau; and her dear sister, Aline Favreau and her husband, Lawrence. Her Funeral will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 8:30 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 594 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her Burial will follow the Mass at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. before Mass. The parking lot and main entrance of the funeral home are located in the rear at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
