Tavernese, Louise M. "Marylou" (Gaeta), of Andover formerly of Stoneham, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Friday, June 10, 2022. She was 86. Marylou, as she was affectionately known to her family and friends, was the beloved wife of the late Vincent D. Tavernese. Born in Boston she was the daughter of the late John and Louise (D'Ambrosio) Gaeta.
Marylou is survived by her devoted children, Vincent J. "VJ" Tavernese of Andover, and Terri Reddy and her husband Stephen of Andover. She was the loving "Ma" to her cherished grandsons, Michael and Stephen Reddy. She was the sister of Ralph Gaeta and his wife Rosalie of Stoneham, the late Joan DeMarco and Annette Aliberti. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews.
Marylou prided herself in being a loving mother and grandmother. She took great joy in cooking Sunday dinner for her family. She loved spending time at the beach with her family and friends sipping her iced coffee, laughing and sharing stories of the past. Marylou treasured her friendships and always had a kind word and beautiful smile to share. She will be greatly missed.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex St., Andover, Friday, June 17th, at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment services will be private. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Marylou's memory to the charity of one's choice.
