Donald C. “Ducky” Tripp, 86, of Little Compton, passed away at home on Saturday, June 11, 2022 with family by his side. He was the husband of Joan D. (Harmon) Tripp, they shared 62 years of marriage.
Mr. Tripp was born and raised in Westport, son of the late Arthur and Lydia (Orcutt) Tripp and had resided in Little Compton for over 50 years. A well known dairy farmer, he began his career at the former Fair Home Farm in Westport. Following his move to Little Compton, he started his own working dairy farm. He later purchased the Yankee Bill Farm in Westport where he could always be found with a smile selling native fruits and vegetables.
Survivors along with his wife include his son: Donald Tripp of Westport; 3 daughters: Deborah Seavor of Little Compton, Bonnie Edge of Dorchester, NH and Sandra Smith of Largo, FL; 17 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late Milton Tripp, Curtis Tripp and Susan Tripp. He was also predeceased by 7 siblings.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, June 16, 2022, at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:30 AM.
Visitation will be Thursday, from 10-11:30 AM, prior to the service.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
