Betty Lou Clark Owens, 80 of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Tift Reginal Medical Center in Tifton.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Mike Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Owensboro, Georgia. The family will receive friends Monday, June 13, at the funeral home from 6PM until 8 PM.
Mrs. Owens was born December 27, 1941, in Rochelle, Georgia. Mrs. Owens was a homemaker and loved canning, flowers, arts and crafts, and babysitting her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist church.
She is survived by two children, Selinda & Ricky Holt, and Brian & Tara Owens of Fitzgerald; four grandchildren Peyton Owens, Rick Holt, Shelby Smith, and Kensly Smith; two great grandchildren, Violet Handley and Roman Handley; siblings Bill Stewart and Daisy Browning. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Leo Owens, a daughter Dawn Smith and several brothers and sisters.
