Christos Karcasinas, 80, of Spencer died Saturday, June 11th in St. Vincent Hospital. He leaves his wife of 53 years, Sotiria (Ioannou) Karcasinas; a daughter, Stephanie Girouard; a son, Stephen Karcasinas both of Southbridge; two grandchildren, Jillian and Jason; two sisters, Katherine Sigalas of Athens, Greece and Athena Burke and her husband, Donald James of Marietta, Georgia; a niece, Melina Burke; a nephew, Michael Burke and extended family and friends.
He was born in Worcester the son of Steven Z. and Anastasia (Souliotis) Karcasinas. Christos and his wife, Sotiria owned and operated Palace Pizza from 1990 until they sold it in 2001. He previously worked in fiber optics as a machinist, the Boynton as a bartender and was a manager of his parent’s restaurant, Favreau’s.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 16 from 10:00 a.m. until the start of his funeral service at 10:30 a.m in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell St, Worcester. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is assisting the family with arrangements.
