BUXTON- Timothy "Tim" George Hagerman, age 55, died on June 7, 2022 from a tragic motorcycle accident in Buxton, Maine.
He was born in Portland, Maine April 26, 1967, son of the late Ralph B. Hagerman. Tim is survived by his mother, Judith W. Guilmette and stepfather David W. Guilmette, his brother Todd C. Hagerman and Todd's children, Todd C Hagerman, Jr and Elizabeth J. Hagerman. Tim is also survived by his sisters, Rhonda L. Malcolm and Tami L. Hagerman.
Tim's grandparents, now deceased, George "Papa" and Doris "Gram" Wortman of Robinson, Maine were farmers and Tim enjoyed visiting with them as a youngster. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins who live in Aroostook County.
Tim attended Scarborough High School and resided in Scarborough, Maine during his growing up years. For the last 15 years he lived in Buxton, Maine with his long time partner, Sue Foran and her grandchildren. Tim has left a void in all our lives, but Sue and her grandchildren were with him on a daily basis and the void is extremely great for them.
Tim was a mechanic. He began learning his trade in local garages while he attended Scarborough High School and eventually operated from a bay of his own in Buxton, Maine. "A good mechanic is not expensive, he's invaluable". When he wasn't working he liked fishing, snowmobiling, motorcycling and spending time with his family and friends among other things.
Tim began riding bikes at a very early age and over the years he never lost his love for motorcycles. Being on a bike was as natural to him as breathing and that was obvious to anyone who saw him ride. Over the years he has owned several bikes and just recently completed updating his latest, a Harley Ultra. He was so proud of that bike; he spent many hours getting it ready so he could spend a summer of riding with his partner of many years, Sue as his passenger.
We're all saddened by his sudden death. He was loved by all who got to know him and we'll all miss his infectious laugh and his ability to tell a good story, usually about things that had happened to him.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday June 18 from 1 – 3 PM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt. 22) in Buxton.
