Ronald Henry ‘Ron’ Bourassa, 62 of Lunenburg, MA, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at UMass Medical Center in Worcester. He was born in Lowell on August 15, 1959 and was a son of the late Henry and the late Regina (Birdsall) Bourassa. He was raised in Lowell, where he attended the area schools, graduating from Greater Lowell Tech.
He lived in Lowell for most of his life, working at the textile factories throughout the city. He was also employed as a professional painter for many years, throughout Massachusetts. He enjoyed fishing, but especially enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren who were the light of his life.
Ron is survived by his three sons, Joshua R. Bourassa and his fiancé, Cassandra D. Fournier of Lunenburg, Corey James McNulty of Ayer, and Tyler Bourassa of Lunenburg; and his two grandchildren, Zoey and Hunter, both of Lunenburg. He is also survived by many siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including his good friend, David Cappella.
He was predeceased by his former companion and the mother of his children, the late Christine McNulty.
All are welcome to attend his calling hours on Saturday June 18, 2022, from 12 noon-2 p.m. at McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell, 978-458-6816. His funeral service will take place in the funeral home at 2 p.m.
