Patricia “Patty” (Hurd ) Bertone, 70, of Bellingham died June 7 in Cedar Gardens Nursing Home in Franklin.
Born in Norwood, November 24,1951, the daughter of the late Francis H. and Phyllis (Mott) Hurd, she was the stepdaughter of Janis Hurd of Boston.
Patty loved hearing about her grandchildren’s adventures and accomplishments. She loved to play cards, family cookouts and to get together with her friends from work. Recently learning to connect with friends and family on the internet kept her smiling.
She is survived by her children, Jessica George and her husband Scott and their children Ryan O’Brien and Cassandra George of Woonsocket, R.I., Paul Bertone Jr. and his wife Annie and his children Abagail and Lily of Seattle, Washington and Kurt Bertone of Medway.
She is also survived by her siblings, Sandra Gauthier of Uxbridge , Dale Leong and her husband George of Boston, Robert Hurd and his wife Margaret of Franklin, Joseph Hurd of Milford, Francis Hurd of Florida, Randy Hurd and his wife Debbie of Maryland and Albert Hurd of Boston.
She was the sister of the late Harry Hurd and Paul Hurd. She was the sister- in law of the late David Gauthier.
She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Geraldine Hurd of Mendon and Debbie Hurd of Bellingham.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 11 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street , Franklin at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be private. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:30 -11:00 a.m.
