Obituary

Van Robert Morgan, 75, died peacefully at his home in Wayland on June 6, 2022.
Van was the son of the late Esther (Hewes) Morgan and Russell Morgan and grew up in Westport, CT.
He graduated from Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania, where he met his wife Abigail “Abby” (Devoll) Morgan. He worked as an Accountant for Dynaco, a division of Tyco Laboratories in Philadelphia and was transferred to the corporate headquarters in Waltham as an Internal Auditor in 1972.
In 1976, Van and Abby opened a retail store in Lincoln called Something Special. At that time, their son Joshua was almost three and their son Seth was one. They enjoyed working together and the store is still in business and under the direction of the next generation.
Van enjoyed sports and played golf and tennis, along with his pleasure in gardening and travel.
Van is survived by his wife of 52 years, Abigail “Abby” (Devoll) Morgan of Wayland. He also leaves his son Seth Devoll Morgan, his wife Susan Harami Morgan and their daughter Lily Esther Morgan all of Sudbury and Joshua Hewes Morgan and his wife Jamie Greenier Morgan of Daytona Beach, FL. He was the brother of the late Toni Louise Morgan.
In Celebration of Van’s life, an informal gathering will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (off Rt 30), Wayland.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Van’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, POB 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011 or to Care Dimensions Hospice, 75 Sylvan St, Ste B-102, Danvers, MA 01923 and would be appreciated.
