Ralph F. Guerra Jr., a longtime resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Monday, June 6, 2022 at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln. He was 90 years of age.
Ralph was born in Boston on July 20, 1931, a son of the late Ralph F. Guerra and Frances (Dionne) Guerra. He grew up in several sections in the City of Boston where he was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Brighton High School. He enlisted into the United States Air Force on May 9, 1949 and served his country faithfully and with courage during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged on December 1, 1952 with the rank of Airman Second Class. Ralph was a proud Air Force Veteran who loved sharing stories of his days as an Air Force Mechanic. He was an avid reader and in later years enjoyed cooking. He worked for New England Telephone Company for over 30 years and retired in 1989 as a Line Assigner. Ralph and his beloved wife Gloria loved yard sales and finding and restoring antiques and other treasures. Ralph's greatest love was his family and his children could not have asked for a better Dad.
Ralph is the beloved husband of the late Gloria T. (Marino) Guerra. He is the adoring father of Linda Hamilton and her husband David of Florida, Robert Guerra of Charlestown, Sean Guerra and his wife Kathy of Dracut and the late Vincent "Vinny" Guerra. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Ralph's Funeral Services and burial at The Veterans Administration National Cemetery in Bourne will be private.
