Obituary

Edith Helen (Brown) Granada, age 95, of Medford passed away peacefully with her loved ones by her side on Saturday, June 4th. Raised and educated in Roxbury and South Boston, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Eleanor (MacEachern) Brown. Edith has lived in Medford since 1974.

Edith was a firecracker - she was hard working and very energetic. She was always smiling and would always sing while shopping. Most of all, she loved being with her family...especially all the kids. She was cherished by all who knew her. Edith touched everyone and was much beloved by her family.

Edith was the devoted mother of Eleanor Harr of Allston, Robert Granada of Nashua, New Hampshire, Judith Harr and her husband Richard, Melody Granada, all of Medford, and Paul Granada and his wife Nancy of Portland, Oregon. She was the loving grandmother of Darlene (Smith) Quigley, Darcy and Allen Smith, Robert Granada Jr. and Carrie Granada, Christopher and Jason Harr, and John and Anthony Granada. Edith leaves 27 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was the dear sister of the late Larry Brown, Irene "Bobbie" Seale, Dot Anderson and Evelyn Bany, and is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A funeral will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Thursday, June 9th at 10 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, June 8th from 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
