Obituary

Mr. Loren A. Hiltz, a longtime resident of Medford and beloved husband of Linda H. (Cutulle) Hiltz, passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on Thursday evening, June 3, 2022. He was 75 years old.

He was born in Norwood,Hospital on August 3, 1946 and was raised in Dedham, Massachusetts. He was the beloved son of the late Harold E. and Dorothy (Harris) Hiltz. Mr. Hiltz was retired from Tufts University where he was employed as a Production Manager for the Dining Services. Loren served in the Army Reserve for six years. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking, especially making pizza on Friday nights, Clam Chowder and grilling outside all year round. He also was a very funny person and loved being social, especially with his life-long friends from Dedham. He will be dearly missed.

Besides his beloved wife, Linda, he is survived by his loving children; Lisa A. and her husband John A. Barone of Medford, Laurie M. and her husband Mark E. Radziszewski of Medford and David M. Hiltz and his partner Danielle Majahad of Stoneham, grandchildren; Jared, Kayla, Alexa and Amy and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Harold E. Hiltz and Nancy G. Mullen.

His funeral will be held from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 9 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
