Alexander A. Salipante

TEWKSBURY: Alexander A. Salipante, age 94, of Tewksbury formerly of Methuen, Revere and Somerville, passed away at the Lowell General Hospital on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.
He was the beloved husband of 75 years to Eleanor (Cousins) Salipante.
Born in Somerville on July 19, 1927, he was the son of the late Antonio Salipante and the late Antonietta (Dikiappari) Salipante.
Alexander was raised in Somerville and attended Somerville schools.
Prior to his retirement in 1991, he was employed as a steam pipe fitter by the former Boston Woven Hose Company of Cambridge, where he worked for 48 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Anthony Salipante (Ellen) of Tewksbury, Antonette Goyette (James) of Tewksbury, Mary Ruggiero of Saugus and Joanna Collins of North Carolina. He leaves eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, many extended family members and friends.
Alexander was the brother of the late Civitina Gordon.
At his request there are No Calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Funeral Mass on Thursday, June 9, at 10 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St. Tewksbury. Interment of his ashes will follow at Lindenwood Cemetery in Stoneham. Please Omit Flowers.
