Obituary

CHARLTON - Mrs. Carol Ann (Chickering) Burlingame, 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday May 29, 2022 at UMass Hospital in Worcester with her loving family by her side.
Carol was born on February 13, 1947 in Webster, Massachusetts a daughter of the late Alfred and Claire (Gronden) Chickering.
Carol was a graduate of Oxford High School, Class of 1966. She worked for several places over the years some included Ed Sterns Butcher Shop, as a librarian for the Town of Charlton and most recently for 18 years prior to her retirement as an office manager and assistant for Quality Physical Therapy.
She loved her crafts and was very artistic. She created jewelry and enjoyed painting. Many of her art pieces hung in her home.
Carol leaves behind her loving husband of 54 years, Raymond Burlingame, her two daughters Kari Burlingame, and Lynn Caron and her husband Ryan; four sisters, Nancy McCarthy and her husband Donald, Mary Jackson and her husband William, Joan O’Day and her husband Patrick, and Lisa Chickering; a brother, Stephen Chickering; and four grandchildren, Nicholas Choiniere and his wife Emily, and Mikaela Choiniere and her fiancé Brad, Lexi and Ty Caron; two great grandchildren, Maddilynn and Raiden Wallace; also many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and grand-dogs.
Carol was pre-deceased by her brother Alfred Chickering.
A Celebration of Life for Carol will be held on Friday June 10th at the Robert J. Miller – Charlton Funeral Home, 175 Old Worcester Road from 9:00am to 11:00am. Interment will follow in West Ridge Cemetery.
