Erin K. O’Connell, 57 of South Boston died suddenly on May 27, 2022. Devoted mother of Shayne Perkins of South Boston. Loving daughter of the late Jesse and Marie O’Connell. Sister of Jim O’Connell and his wife Deb of Brant Rock, Linda Lynch and her late husband Moss, Sean and his wife Patty, Sheila Miller and her late husband Bill, Patty O’Loughlin and her husband Fran all of South Boston, the late Marie Bailey and her late husband Arnie and the late Maureen Connolly. Also survived by many great nephews and nieces, cousins and friends. Born and raised in her beloved South Boston, MA. Graduated from Mount Saint Joseph High School, and she spent her life in the service/hospitality industry. She enjoyed all kinds of music and was a great dancer. She loved baking (while listening to Elvis) and was famous for her homemade chocolate chip cookies. She enjoyed walking the beach along Castle Island and sunbathing at the Lagoon with a good book. She was a loyal friend, with a big heart and was always willing to help someone out when they needed a hand. We will forever miss her infectious smile and laugh. She will be sorely missed by her loving family and many friends who have great memories of the many laughs and good times shared.
Visiting hours will be held in the Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester Street, South Boston on Wednesday June 8 from 9:00-10:30A.M. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brigid's Church, South Boston at 11:00A.M. Interment services will be private.
