Jeanne M. (Herlihy) Houlihan, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Salem Hospital. She was 69 years of age.
Jeanne was born in Somerville on May 6, 1953, a daughter of the late Joseph F. Herlihy and Ruth M. (Cobb) Herlihy. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated at St. Francis De Sales Parochial School and graduated from Charlestown High School. Jeanne worked at the Mount Vernon Restaurant on the Charlestown/Somerville line and following several years of employment she became a Manager at the restaurant. In her spare time, Jeanne enjoyed playing bingo and most of all she enjoyed the special moments she shared with her grandson Joshua.
Jeanne is the beloved wife of the late Joseph Houlihan. She is the devoted mother of James Houlihan and his companion Melinda Morrissey, Jeff Houlihan and the late Brian Houlihan. She is the loving Grandmother to Joshua Houlihan. She is the dear cousin to Joan Catrone and her husband Robert and their 3 children. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
