Bohld Sr., Edward J. Oliver of South Boston, MA passed away on May 23, 2022 at the age 82.
Born and raised in South Boston, Ed attended Nazareth Grammar School and Boston English High School. He loved Southie, it’s residents and did everything within his power to try and improve and beautify his beloved town and home. He retired as an employee of the USPS and member of NALC Branch 34 (goldcard member). He was fond of motorcycles and horses and worked in theater/acting, television, singer/songwriter/performer and movies. His other ventures and life’s accomplishments and endeavors are as follows: Newbury Street Nightwatch Patrolman (Midnight Monitor), Deputy for the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office (mounted patrol), The Mounted Patrol Institute Inc. (Massachusetts County Mounted Patrol South Boston Community Grime Watch/Southie Pride Patrol), AEA - SAG(BoD)/AFTRA - ASCAP - AFM Copley "7" Modeling Agency, Massachusetts State Lancers.
Dear father to the late Patricia Park (Bohld) and her husband Sean from Milton as well as Edward 'Teddy' Bohld Jr. of Hanson. Cherished brother to the late Catherine 'Katie' Sacco. Survived by 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild as well as a niece and nephew.
Visiting hours will be held at Casper Funeral Home located at 187 Dorchester Street in South Boston on Friday, June 3, 2022 from 9 AM – 10:30 AM. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Brigid Church in South Boston at 11 AM followed by interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in Boston.
