In Taunton, James M. Teixeira Jr., Age 58, passed away unexpectedly at home on May 24, 2022. James was born in Taunton, the son of the late James Teixeira Sr. & Judith (Lopes) Teixeira. A resident of Taunton most of his life, and also resided in Brockton and Lakeville.
James was educated in Taunton schools and a 1982 graduate of Taunton High School. He was employed for Verizon Company as a lineman until his retirement. James loved playing football for Taunton High School, where they won the Super Bowl in 1980. Swimming for the Silver City Swim Club. He enjoyed cooking, volunteering, going to the beach, the Patriot’s and spending time with his family.
James leaves his beloved children; Olivia Teixeira and Benjamin Teixeira both of Lakeville, his siblings; Sandra Sousa of Stoughton, Brenda Mello and husband Eric of Plymouth and Jack Teixeira of Dighton. He also leaves several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Funeral home visiting hours will be held at the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Thursday, June 2nd from 5-7pm. In lieu of flowers donations in James memory may be made to Homes for our Troops, 6 Main Street, Taunton, MA, 02780
