Vincent R. Tognarelli Sr., of Medford, formerly of Charlestown, died Sunday at Brighten of Medford Nursing Home. He was 89.
Born and raised in Charlestown, he was the son of the late Oscar and Guglielma Tognarelli. A Medford resident for the past 50 years, Vincent was a self-employed painting contractor before his retirement.
He was the beloved husband of the late Marie (Morey) Tognarelli. He was a devoted father of Vincent “Tuggy” Tognarelli, Jr. and his wife Janette of Medford, Mark Tognarelli and his wife Kelly of Billerica and the late Joan Sarto. Loving grandfather of Dawn, Tracy, Kevin, Jill, Dean, Kirk, Brigette, Nicole, Paige and Briana. Also survived by 7 loving great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit Wednesday from 4 - 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered, Thursday at 10 AM in St. Clement Church, Medford, with the Rev. Dennis A. Dever, presiding. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
