Simmy loved golfing – she scored a hole-in-one at Waukewan Golf Course -, playing cards with her “gang of friends” from her neighborhood, the Red Sox, the New England Patriots, and spending time with her friends and family. In her later years, she attended the Laconia Friendship Club in Lakeport. She was a communicant at St. Andre Bessette Parish.
She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Raymond H. Ober; her sisters, Doris Smith, Jeanette Jones, Aline Jacobs, and Priscilla Wells; her parents, Odilion and Rose (Marchand) Laframboise; and her stepfather, Donald Christie. Survivors include her daughter, Gail Ober of Laconia; her son, John Ober and his wife Tracy of Gilford and Jupiter, FL; her beloved grandson, Craig Ober of Gilford; and many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her kind nature, her smile, and her generosity with both family and friends. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
