Mark J. Sullivan, 68, of New Bedford died after a short battle with cancer on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Maria (Monteiro) Sullivan.
Born and raised in New Bedford, he was the son of the late John Sullivan and Winifred (Williams) Haun.
Mark loved to play his drums and sing. He was the front man for many local bands through the 80's, 90's and 2000's. He enjoyed riding his bike, running, playing tennis, ping pong, and cracking jokes. Mark worked at Babbitt Steam Specialty Company for 35 years. He loved his job and his co-workers.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Sullivan; his former wife, Diane Peloquin; his children, Christine Sullivan and her fiancé Joseph Silvia of New Bedford, Jennifer Sullivan of Lowell, Michelle Sullivan of Fairhaven, John Sullivan and his girlfriend Zuleika Lobo of New Bedford, and Scott Sullivan and his girlfriend Rylee Gant of New Bedford; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
His visitation will be held Tuesday, May 31st from 5 to 8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
