Catherine M. (Kay) (Sullivan) Doak, 87 died peacefully on Tuesday May 24th 2022 surrounded by family members at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford MA. She was married to the love of her life Earl M. Doak settling in Billerica MA after Earl’s military retirement. They were happily married for 56 years until Earl’s passing in 2011.
Catherine was born in Lowell MA on Dec. 18, 1934 daughter to the late Frank J. and Catherine J. (Mullen) Sullivan. She grew up in Tewksbury MA and came from a large family of 15 children. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and great grandmother. Kay enjoyed reading, sewing and crocheting. She enjoyed retirement in Port St. Lucie FL where she went on several cruises with Dad and organized her weekly Joker and card games with her friends in Florida. Kay later resettled in Nashua NH to be closer to family.
She is survived by her children Deborah A. Ouellette (Patrick) of Ivoryton CT; Laura A. Hunt (Steven) of Lunenburg MA; Stephen D. Doak (Debbie) of Templeton MA; Brian T. Doak (Katherine) of Wilton NH; Richard J. Doak of Billerica MA; sisters Marie Nolan of Tewksbury MA.; Janet ( Rick) Martin of Litchfield NH; Carol Chartier of Nashua NH; Patricia Duffett of Hudson NH; Rita (Mike) Hassett of Chelmsford MA; brothers Patrick Sullivan of Manchester NH and Jim ( Kathi) Sullivan of Laconia NH; sister-in-law Linda Sullivan of Tewksbury MA, brother-in-law Ronald McBreiarty of PA, She is predeceased by five brothers Frank, Daniel, Charles ,Richard ,and David and two sisters, Jean Lamarre and Eleanor Edge, son Earl James and grandson Daniel Hunt. Catherine is survived by 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

On Friday, June 3, 2022 all are welcome to attend her calling hours from 9-10:30 a.m. at Tewksbury Funeral Home, 1 Dewey Street, Tewksbury, 978-851-2061.
Her funeral mass will be offered at 11:30 a.m. at St. Williams Church on Main Street in Tewksbury, followed by burial at Tewksbury Cemetery.
