Bill Asaro passed away on May 19, 2022. He was 90 years old.
The son of Italian immigrants, Bill was born in Somerville and lived in Medford. He earned his living as a very talented and skilled self-employed contractor. Bill enjoyed playing golf and bocce and taking trips to the casino. He was a proud, lifelong member of the Medford Elks and a member of the Italian American Citizens Club in Malden.
Bill was the loving husband of Peggy Gennetti Asaro and the late Helen (Barry) Asaro. He was the devoted father of his three children, William Asaro Jr. and his wife Cindie Rais-Asaro, Johnny Asaro and Michael Asaro and his wife Cassia and his step-children, Lisa Lipani and her husband Carl, Dina Robinson, Carla Svendsen and her husband Darren, Salvatore Gennetti and Maria Gennetti. Bill was the dear brother of Joseph Asaro and his wife Betty Ann and the late Ralph Asaro. He also leaves many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Thursday, May 26th from 10am-12noon. A service will follow in the funeral home at noon. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
