In Stoughton, Anthony Famiglietti, age 83, passed away peacefully in Mount Sinai Hospital surrounded by his loving family on May 20, 2022. Anthony was the husband of the late Judy (Ferbert) Famiglietti. He was born in Providence, RI., the son of the late Anthony C. Famiglietti & Lena (Richards) Famiglietti.
Anthony was a resident of Taunton most of his life and formerly of RI. He served his country honorably while in the U.S. Army Reserves. Anthony worked for the former Swartz Office Supply for 25 years and later opened his own business, Elite Business Machines in Taunton.
Anthony was a member of the Sons of Italy, the Italian Clubs in Taunton, he hosted the radio show, Taunton Talks on WPEP Radio and also seen on local cable TV. He enjoyed fishing, boating, flying from the Taunton Municipal Airport, and was very involved in local politics.
Anthony is survived by his children; Sherri Avellar and husband Randy of Taunton, Cathie Dutra and her fiancé Peter Blais of Attleboro, Lori Famiglietti of Attleboro, Donna Wirth and fiancé Michael Montrond of East Taunton, and the late Toni – Lynn Famiglietti, his siblings; Delores Orcutt of FL, Dianne Sorensen of RI, and the late Kathleen F. Hoerber, his grandchildren; Anthony Terry of Revere, Kendra Dumont of Taunton, Haley Dutra of Taunton, Chelsea Dutra of Somerville and two great grandchildren; Amari Kaye and Madison Galuski-Dutra.
Funeral home visiting hours will be held at the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Wednesday, May 25th from 9:30-11am. A funeral home service will be held at 11am. Burial at St. Francis Cemetery in Taunton.
