Jean B. (Taylor) Urbano passed away peacefully on May 19th surrounded by her loving family. Raised in Concord, NH and Avon, MA, Jean was a country girl and amateur tennis player at heart. As a young adult, she enjoyed weekly dances with big band sounds in Brockton where she met the love of her life, Jack Urbano. They were married in 1949 and began growing their family in Brockton. As the family grew Jack and Jean moved the family to the ‘country’ in a custom-built ranch overlooking a beautiful pond in Sharon. Over the past nearly 70 years the trees grew in and masked the pond view while Jean and Jack turned their attention to creating a private backyard oasis. The swimming pool and built-in barbecue were central features in many gatherings of extended family and friends. Over the years, many have benefited from Jean’s open door policy and passion for cooking. Jean loved all of her babies and had a knack for calming the fussiest of infants. Loving memories of holiday gatherings around the pool and dining table remain Jean’s greatest legacy. Beloved wife for 64 years of the late Joachin “Jack” Urbano. Loving mother of Jackine and her husband Glen Greenhalgh of Millville, Jody Sherpa of Denver, Frank and his wife Shannon Urbano of NC, and Michael and his wife Carole Urbano of Wakefield.
