Obituary

William N. Arnold, 81, of Manchester died May 6, 2006 at Hanover Hill Healthcare Center, Manchester after a long illness.

Born in Kittery Point, ME on November 1, 1924, he was the son of George and Dorothy (Higgins) Arnold Sr.. He lived most of his life in the Dover area.

During World War II he served in the US Army. He worked as a supervisor with Public Service of New Hampshire in Dover for many years.

Mr. Arnold was a deacon at the Dover Baptist Church for many years and was an avid golfer.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Jean (O'Neil) Arnold in 1992.

The family includes his wife of 10 years, L. Belle (Nordstrom) Arnold of Durham; two children, Gary N. Arnold of Folsom, LA and Lesley A. Danis of Manchester; three brothers, David Arnold of Dover, George Arnold of Middleton and Ron Benson of Barrington; two sisters, Annabelle Neal of Farmington and Loretta Langley of Lebanon, ME; five step children, Jay Zoller and Jerry Zoller both of Concord, James Zoller of Houghton, NY, John Zoller of Leesburg, VA and Jonas Zoller of Durham; nieces, nephews and many step grandchildren.

IN HIS LIFE: He also has two grandchildren, Jennifer Danis and Derek Danis both of Manchester and one great grandson, Sawyer Danis of Manchester. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

A service of remembrance was held Thursday May 11, 2006 in Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St., Manchester. Pastor Kenneth Monahan of the Dover Baptist Church officiated. Memorial donations may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, 1501 N.W. 9th Ave., Miami, FL 33136-1494
