Obituary



George D. King, of Chelsea, passed away on May 20th. Born and raised in Chelsea, he was the cherished son of the late Samuel and Jenny (Goss) King. George enlisted into the United States Army in the winter of 1952, from Boston, Massachusetts, serving during the Korean War.

A natural people person, George loved everyone, and they loved him. He had a witty sense of humor, kind disposition and was the life of the party. George always had a smile on his face and was the epitome of pure positivity.

George was the lifelong partner of the late Frank E. Wells. He was the dear brother of Norman King and his wife Edith of VA, and the late Arthur King, Walter King, Myrtle McCollough, Florence Broughton and Gladys Mazaka. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Tuesday, May 24th at 7 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in George’s name to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA, 02452
