Carolynn Ann (Brown) Longnaker, 81, Anderson died of a sudden illness on May 17, 2022, at home.
Carolynn was born November 16, 1940 in Knoxville, Tennessee, the daughter of Carl and Bertha (Lamb) Brown. She was a business manager at Bethany Christian Church retiring after 18 years. She was office manager at Longnaker Law Office and Mounds State Park, sold Home Interiors, and was a bank teller at First National Bank (aka Star Bank). She was a member of Bethany Christian Church where she served in leadership for bereavement dinners, Ladies Circle, Finance Team, and choir member. She volunteered for Guardian Advocates, Inc.
She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, that she absolutely adored.
She is survived by her son, John (Amber) Longnaker, III of Anderson; daughter, Jill Kyle of Goshen; grandchildren, Mallory (Clint) Shoemaker, Isabel Longnaker and Graham Longnaker; half-brother, David (Mary Lou) Brown; half-sister, Debbie (Tom) Lawson; half-brother, Bill Brown; and an uncle, Burnie Wayner.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Longnaker, Jr. and a grandson, Caleb Longnaker.
Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Bob Bell officiating. Private burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the service at 7 p.m. on Monday.
