It is with great sadness that the family of Marcia Lee Tollo announces her passing. On May 10, 2022 Marcia passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family. She was 80 years old. Born in Danvers, Massachusetts, Marcia was the daughter of the late Eunice Grace Foy-Bailey and Everett Mason Bailey. She was the devoted mother of four children and two stepchildren Nana to 15 grandchildren and Great Nana to 9 great-grandchildren. Marcia was a loving sister, cousin, aunt., and friend. She was the adoring wife of her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, John F Tollo.
Marcia grew up in Salem, Massachusetts. A graduate of Salem High School, Marcia later went on to compete and win the title of Miss North Shore. She attended Essex Agricultural College where she earned her license in Practical Nursing. Marcia was a devoted mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. Marcia especially loved her role as Nana. She had a light-hearted personality and always made people around her feel loved and welcomed..
Marcia enjoyed traveling with John and loved sharing stories about spending time on their yacht, honeymooning in Oahu, cruising the Caribbean, their month-long adventure exploring the beauty of Italy, and setting out on several cross-country road trips.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 23 at 2:00 at the Second Congregational Church in Beverly.
