Gregory Theodore Bakes age 38, father, brother, son, musical artist, entrepreneur and comedian died unexpectedly on April 25th, 2022 at 5:04 a.m. surrounded by his family.
Gregory is survived by his father Theodore Bakes; his children Dylan, Jayden, Jacob and Isaiah; his sisters Nichole and Olivia Bakes; his nephews Nick and Everett; his girlfriend Andrea Lacerra and an abundance of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Rebecca Lila Bakes (McLaughlin).
Gregory was born July 25th, 1983, in Stamford Connecticut to Rebecca and Theodore Bakes. As a small child Gregory made it his mission to bring a smile to your face and continued to do so throughout his entire life. He was dubbed the name, “Big Greg” not only from size, but for his big heart and larger than life dreams and aspirations. His desire was to touch those around him through comedy and he did exactly that.
He will be significantly missed by all who knew him and will always be remembered by his iconic laugh and one-of-a-kind jokes and impersonations. We love you Greg, fly high.
Memorial Services will be held May 20th, 2022 at Mohegan Pavilion starting at 3 p.m. until sunset.
