OLER, Leigh Rebmann of Natick, MA, and formerly Wellesley, MA, passed away at her home on May 4th, 2022.
Leigh was born on March 24, 1962, in Philadelphia, PA to the late William and Suzanne Rebmann. She grew up in Chestnut Hill, PA and graduated from Springside School in 1980 and The University of Pennsylvania in 1984. She was a class leader and a standout athlete. Leigh married Stephen S. Oler in 1989, after reconnecting from UPenn. They studied and worked together in London before settling down in Boston, MA where they raised their family. Leigh loved life by the ocean, and she particularly loved sailing, fishing, and summering in her favorite beach town of Mattapoisett.
She is survived by her husband Stephen S. Oler and her two beloved children, Stephen S. Oler Jr. (27) and Suzanne T. Oler (23). Leigh is also survived by her aunt and uncle Sandra and Fred Knup, and two sisters Laura Rebmann Carapezzi and Mary Rebmann Shearson.
Leigh had an infectious laugh and a keen wit. She could always be counted on to break the silence at any awkward moment during holiday or other celebrations. She always went the extra mile to make others feel at home in any location or circumstance, either happy occasions or sad ones. Leigh will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home 477 Washington St. Wellesley on Friday, May 13th from 11am-1pm, followed by a funeral service beginning at at 1pm, in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Adaptive Sports Foundation: www.adaptivesportsfoundation.org
