STANDISH – Joshua “Josh” Lee Wilson, age 43 passed away on May 3, 2022 at Maine Medical Center after a fall from a ladder. He was born on November 14, 1978 in Damariscotta, Maine, a son of Dale Wilson and Linda (Lein) Wilson. Josh graduated from Bonny Eagle High School, then worked briefly as a truck driver before entering the construction trades. He was a quick learner and mastered all aspects of house construction, eventually moving on to general contracting, forming his company JLW Buillders. Josh was an outdoorsman. He was accomplished in fishing coastal estuaries for striped bass, Sebago Lake for salmon and togue, and brook trout both locally and Down East. Josh loved winter when the ice was thick enough for ice fishing. He would take a week of vacation in November for deer hunting and seldom went without filling his tag. He rarely missed a shot at a woodcock or partridge when hunting upland bird coverts. Most of all, he loved spending time with his children Caleb Wilson, 20, and Jazmin Wilson, 10. Josh was predeceased by his brother Jordan Bullard who passed away in 1990 and a nephew Hayden Nelson who passed away in 2008. He is survived by his two children, his parents, sister Hillery Nelson and brother Henry Berube, niece Elise Nelson, and half-sister Sarah Frazier.
A wake for Josh will be held Wednesday evening May 11th from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road, Buxton. Online condolences may be submitted at www.mainefuneral.com
