Jean (Cozzens) Healy, 91, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022 at The Overlook in Charlton, MA. Jean was born on April 21, 1930 to John Cozzens and Aldea Jodouin Cozzens in Webster, MA. She was predeceased by Arthur, her husband of over fifty years. She was the middle child of five: John, Richard, Alice and Robert; who all predeceased her. Jean is survived by her daughter, Jean-Ellen Hagelauer and husband Henry of Oxford, MA; son Scott Healy and his wife Jeanine of Charlton, MA; son
David Healy of Westport, MA. In addition, she is survived by her five grandchildren: Jason Gervickas and wife Jill, Samantha Straw and husband John, Cassandra Gingras and husband Sean, Cailyn Martuni and husband Tony, Julianna Hagelauer. She leaves seven great grandchildren: Ava and Liam Gervickas, Ethan and Margaret Straw, Aiden and Lillian Gingras and Agam Martuni. Jean was a long-time employee of Vernon Drug in Webster and a student favorite while managing the snack bar at Nichols College. She loved to entertain and sang locally with the Cozzens Family. She was also a member of the choir at the United Church of Christ and Zion Lutheran Church.
Jean loved vacationing on Cape Cod, wintering in Ft. Meyers Beach and spending time with her family and friends. There was no one who could work a room or make people feel more at ease than she could.
She specialized in organizing talent shows and singing events and was always comfortable when she had a microphone and an audience.
There will be a Memorial/Celebration of life service at Zion Lutheran Church in Oxford, MA on May 14,
2022 at 10:00 AM.. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at act.alz.org.
The Robert J. Miller Funeral Home and Lake Chapel is directing arrangements.
