Sybil Rodrigue, 95, of Bridgewater Massachusetts passed away peacefully on March 13th at the Villages at Willow Crossings.
Born in Boston Massachusetts, she was the only daughter of Sybil and Arthur Baker and the sister of the late Arthur Baker.
She grew up in Malden, Massachusetts. After graduating high school, she attended the Vesper George School of Art. She was an award-winning professional artist and a member of the Abington Art Association. She loved nature and traveling the roads of New England and painting what she saw and photographed. She had amazing talent and creativity in painting, sewing, knitting, crafting, cooking and gardening. She enjoyed camping and traveling. She was always up for an adventure, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, who brought together her blended families as one, with love and devotion. We will always remember her for the sparkle in her eyes, effervescent laughter and her love of life.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Richard Whitmarsh and leaves behind their children Karen Nelson (Paul), Dale Seavey (Steve), the grandchildren; Shayna Nelson, Jenna Nelson, Marisa Burnett (Joe), Josh Kirby (Amanda) and great grandchildren Kobi and Forest, and step-grandchildren Jack, Tess, Clara and Sophia.
She was preceded in death by her second husband of 33 years Edward Zakrzewski and leaves behind their daughter Janel Hill (Richard), her stepson’s Edward Zakrzewski (Jane), Thomas (Nik) Zakrzewski (Paula Norton), the grandchildren; Lesley Renzi (Patrick), Evan Hill (Meagan), Ali Zakrzewski (Matt), Samuel Zakrzewski and the great grandchildren, Nolan Renzi and Nadia Wisniewski.
She leaves behind her husband of 29 years Emile Rodrigue and his children Claudette Howland (John) Roger Rodrigue (Joy) and Robert Rodrigue, the grandchildren; Gayle and Lynn(predeceased), John, Dawn, Roger, Sherrie, Jason, Jamie, Dana and Derek; the great grandchildren, Ashley and David, Zach, John Jr., Kayla, Kelder, Lexi, Myils, Seth, Kaitlyn, Britni, Ryan, Aida, Tristan, Jordan, Kim, Anthony, Dominic; the great- great grandchild Octavia
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the celebration of her life at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman, MA on June 4th, 2022, from 1:00 to 2:30 pm, followed by a service at 2:30pm. By request of the family masks will be required.
