Judith A. (Joyce) Wyman, age 70, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, following a long illness on Monday, May 2, 2022 at the Brigham’s & Woman’s Hospital in Boston. She was the beloved wife of Stephen G. Wyman, to whom she was wed for forty-four years.
Born in Boston, MA on September 17, 1951, she was a loving daughter of the late Thomas J. and Julia A. (O’Connor) Joyce.
Judy grew up in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, was a 1969 graduate of Saint Gregory’s High School and a graduate of Boston State College. She had made her home in Mansfield for the past forty-three years and prior to retiring, taught math for over thirty years in the Boston Public Schools System.
A communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield, Judy’s family was truly the essence of her life. She loved traveling, her favorite place of destination being Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. Judy was also an avid reader and looked forward to monthly gatherings with the “Club Girls”
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her dear brothers and sisters: Thomas J. Joyce and his wife Janice of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, John F. Joyce and his wife Theresa of New London, New Hampshire, Linda M. Maloney and her husband Francis of Mansfield and Donna M. Muldoon and her husband Stephen of Weymouth. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, May 8th from 2:00-5:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 9th at 10:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt Street (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree.
