Patricia E. (Walsh) Travers, age 76, of Norton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Morton Hospital in Taunton. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles R. Travers.
Born in Boston, MA, she was a loving daughter of the late James and Patricia (Ryan) Walsh.
Pat grew up in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston and was a graduate of Saint Patrick’s School in Roxbury. She was a dedicated homemaker to her adoring family and had worked as a Nurse’s Aide at the Daggett-Crandall-Newcomb Home in Norton.
She was a resident of Norton for over forty-five years and a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Norton. Pat’s family was the essence of her life and she enjoyed socializing with friends and playing bingo at the Norton Senior Center. She also had a special place in her heart for butterflies and the color purple.
She was the devoted mother of Colin Travers of Norton, Breinne Travers of Norton and the late Charles C. Travers and Sean Travers. She was the cherished mother-in-law of Deana Travers of Mansfield and the treasured grandmother of Keara, Brendon and Christian Travers and the great grandmother of Lillian. She was the dear sister of Lou Greene and her husband Paul of Hull, Francis Walsh and his wife Gale of Hull, James Walsh and his late wife Mary of Weymouth, Kathy Walsh and her husband Don of Hull and the late Richard Walsh and Stephen Walsh. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews and her good friend Christina.
Her Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Thursday, May 12th at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 1 Power Street, Norton. Burial will follow at the Timothy Plain Cemetery in Norton.
Visiting hours are omitted and in lieu of flowers, donations in Patricia’s memory may be made to the Norton Senior Center, P.O. Box 552, Norton, MA 02766.
