Paul E. Talbot, 78, of New Bedford died Sunday, May 1, 2022 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Sandra A. (Turek) Talbot, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage. He was the love of her life and they always joked that they were never able to go on a second honeymoon because they still hadn't finished their first.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late Louis and Angelina (Tardi) Talbot, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.
He was formerly employed by Chamberlain Manufacturing, Continental Screw Company, and Titleist Ball Plant 2, where he worked until his retirement.
Paul honorably served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and had trained for the Special Forces.
He was an athlete and lettered in soccer, basketball and baseball. He had also rolled 4 perfect sanctioned games in bowling and retired with a 217 average.
Paul loved playing cards, going to the casino, fishing with his son Paul, and pizza with his son Todd on Sundays.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; two sons, Paul, Jr. and Todd; his very special daughter-in-love, Rosemary; his grandson, Paul, III; two sisters, Claire and Anita; three brothers, Roger, Roland, and Alfred; and three Godchildren, Jacklyn, Aimee, and Kenneth.
He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Lynsay, who died on her 3rd birthday; his parents, Louis and Angelina; his sisters, Jeanne and Rita; his in-laws, Henry and Angela; and his brother-in-law, Henry.
His funeral services will be held privately. For online guestbook, visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
