DUDLEY – Theodore C. “Ted” Gregoire, 68, died Saturday, April 30, 2022 at home in the presence of his family.
He leaves his wife of almost 50 years, Lorraine E. (Szacik) Gregoire; a brother, Navy CDR John A. Gregoire and his wife Sue of Burdett, NY; an uncle and aunt, Alfred and Beverly Nowicki of Webster; several nephews and nieces including Gloria (Szacik) Brecht of College Station, TX and George Szacik of Charleston, SC; and many friends and acquaintances.
He was born in Webster on July 27, 1953, the son of J. George A. Gregoire and Balbina M. (Nowicki) Gregoire. He graduated from Bartlett High School in 1971. He lived in Webster until moving to Dudley in 1978.
Ted first worked in the color laboratory at the former Cranston Print Works Company in Webster. He was employed in the office at Stevens Linen Associates for 7 years. He retired from Mapfre Insurance in Webster as a clerk in the underwriting support center after 24 years with the company.
Mr. Gregoire was a communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Webster. He announced news and local events for WESO Radio in Southbridge during his teenage years.
The funeral will be held Thursday, May 12, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street, Webster. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Webster. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 11, in the funeral home.
