Anthony R. Giglio, 75, of Putnam Pike, Glocester, died Thursday, April 28, 2022 at his home. He was the husband of Lynne (Haltigan) Giglio. Tony and Lynne would have celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary in June.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of the late Ralph and Helen (Garafola) Giglio. Tony and Lynne have lived in Glocester, RI for almost 20 years. They had previously lived in Nasonville, RI, where Tony was a former member of the Nasonville Fire Department. He served as an EMT helping others.
Tony served in the US Army and was very proud of his strong patriotism and love for his country. He worked as a service manager for many years at area automotive dealerships. In his retirement years he continued to work part time at Putnam Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM KIA.
Tony had the strongest work ethic. If he wasn’t working or maintaining his meticulous lawn, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, whether they were fishing or at their sporting events and activities.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Michael Giglio and his wife, Mickey of Tampa, FL and his daughter, Trish St. Onge and her husband, Chris of Glocester, RI and his grandchildren: Pierce Imperialbobis, Fenway Giglio, Spencer St. Onge and Cooper St. Onge.
His funeral service will be held Wednesday May 4th at 11:30am at the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Acotes Cemetery in Chepachet, RI. Visitation will be Tuesday May 3rd from 4-6pm.
