Bridget T. Vitale, lifelong resident of Medford, passed away on Monday, April 25th. She was 73. Born in Malden, she was the cherished daughter of the late Frank and Angela (Melacola) Vitale. Bridget graduated from the Somerville Hospital nursing program as a licensed Registered Nurse. She was very professional and took great pride in caring for her patient’s right up to her retirement.
Bridget loved all of her dogs that she owned over the years. She treated them as if they were members of the family. Bridget enjoyed traveling; she got to experience the rustic charm of Italy, and the natural wonders of Alaska. She loved baking all types of cookies, and always shared them with her family and friends. When Bridget was not baking her delectable cookies and spoiling her dogs, she made it a priority to make time to see her loving group of friends.
Bridget was the beloved niece of Anna Vitale of Medford. She was the dear sister of Michael Vitale and his wife Kathy, Stephanie Regan and her loving partner John Gullage and the late Pasquale Vitale. She was the loving aunt of Frank Regan and his wife Kerrianne, Elizabeth Vitale and her wife Claire Andersen, Philip Regan and his wife Raquel and Anna Fagan and her husband Joe, and the caring great aunt of Owen and Briana. She was the proud owner of Harlow, her King Charles Cavalier. She is also survived by many loving family members and friends.
Bridget’s funeral will be from Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday, May 4th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
