Crystal L. Francis-Sicard shed her skin on Monday, April 25, 2022, with family and loved ones by her side.
Anyone who knew Crystal knew that she was a force to be reckoned with, and knew she was magic. She unapologetically lived life by her own rules, which is something to aspire to, and a lot more than most of us can say. If you were intimidated by her, it was because she wanted you to be, and if you were afraid of her, that was probably wise – but if you were lucky, you got to know her well enough to know that she was brilliant, and funny, silly and, underneath her armor, she had the biggest heart.
She loved creatures great and small, as was evident by a visit to her home – which hosted a bigger variety of critters than most petting zoos. It was not uncommon to leave her house with a dozen “mystery” eggs, peacock bites on your ankles, or a kitten in your pocket.
She was definitely more discerning with humans, and if Crystal loved you, you knew it – and felt honored to be among the chosen. If you sought her counsel, whether you were a friend, or her child, you could count on two things: 1. She would not sugar coat anything – Crystal would tell you what you needed to hear, regardless of whether that coincided with what you wanted to hear, and 2. She would have your back.
Crystal is survived by her husband Dennis Sicard, her sons Tom, Francis, and Seth, her grandchildren Emmy and Willow, her siblings, Bill, Shanna, Chuck, and Jeff, as well as by her chosen family – if that includes you, you already know who you are. If it doesn’t, you missed out.
There are no services scheduled for Crystal at this time.
