Obituary

WORCESTER____Frank A. Mierzejewski, 81, of 146 Vernon St., died Friday August 2 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Memorial Campus, 119 Belmont St.He leaves his wife of 55 years, Anna (Zadrozny) Mierzejewski; four sons, Frank Mierz of Rockport, Massachusetts; Dennis Mier of Worcester; Thomas Mier of Pascoag, R.I., and Edward Mierzejewski of Worcester; a daughter, Maria Mierz of Worcester; a brother, Richard Mierzejewski of Paxton; four sisters, Rita Wackell and Dorothy Dulmaine both of Auburn; Joanne Granger of Worcester and Donna Frykholm of Grafton; nine grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph, Paul and Henry Mierzejewski and one sister, Theresa Perron. He was born in Worcester, son of Frank and Josephine (Serwicki) Mierzejewski and lived here all his life.

Mr. Mierzejewski was a master plumber and worked many years with Plumber and Pipefitters local #4 and retired many years ago. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.Mr. Mierzejewski was graduated from Commerce High School.

Mr. Mierzejewski was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, he was a Life member of Polish American Veterans of World War II and was a member of Plumber and Pipefitters local #4. He was an avid photographer and enjoyed listening to polka music.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday August 6 from Henry-Dirsa Funeral Home, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours in the funeral home are Monday August 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. Members of Polish American Veterans of World War II will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday August 5 in the funeral home to conduct their ritual.
