Joyce A. Brown (Ford), 68, of East Bridgewater Massachusetts, passed away on Sunday April 24, 2022 very peacefully at home after a brief illness.
Born on December 16th, 1954 in Brockton Massachusetts, Joyce grew up in East Bridgewater and later resided in Whitman. She moved back to East Bridgewater permanently on Halloween in 1985. The Brown Household on Washington Street is where she raised her family until her very final days.
Daughter of the late Henry and Sheila Ford of East Bridgewater, MA and sister of the late Francis Wilkinson and Susan Shenett.
Joyce had retired from working to care for her now late husband Charles F. Brown. They were both happily married for over 48 years. She had a wonderful working career of accounting and bookkeeping.
She went to school in East Bridgewater Massachusetts and graduated in 1973 from East Bridgewater High School. After graduating she went to hairdressing School and soon after became a wife, mother and a wonderful homemaker for her family.
When not working, she loved going for walks, taking care of her home and beautiful yard and most importantly keeping a close eye on her late husband Charlie while he was working on cars and motorcycles in the garage.
Her circle of friends was small but extremely close and very loyal until the very end. Always a soft-spoken quiet person, she absolutely loved to listen to her friends tell all of their fun and crazy stories.
Later in life, after retirement she enjoyed her time at home, visits to New Jersey to see her grandchildren and watching TV with Charlie.
Joyce leaves behind her youngest son Corry and his wife Maria Brown of Bloomingdale NJ, her grandchildren Alejandro and Isabella. Her son Christopher and his wife Jill Brown of Gilford, NH, her grandchildren Sierra, Darren, and Jack.
Joyce also had many nieces and nephews that she now leaves behind.
A private ceremony will be held at a later date at Northville Cemetery in East Bridgewater to honor Joyce.
