Grace L. Arnold, 99, of Attleboro, formerly of Franklin, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family April 23 at the home she shared with her daughter. She was the beloved wife of the late Theodore F. "Ted" Arnold for 65 years until his passing in 2013.
Born in Boston, December 9, 1922, she was the loving daughter of the late Eugene and Lena (Luippold) Curran. Mrs. Arnold was raised in West Roxbury and then made her home in Franklin for many years until 2020 when she moved to her daughter's home in Attleboro.
Grace was a graduate of Roslindale High School and the Bryant and Stratton Business School. She had worked for John Hancock Insurance Company until her marriage. Later she worked for the Town of Franklin School Department at the Kennedy School for many years as a cashier.
Grace was an avid reader and music enthusiast. She was also a member of the Franklin Federated Church.
Her greatest love was her family, children, and grandchildren and spent much of her time in their company. She was noted for making friends easily and was well liked in her community.
She is survived by her children, John Arnold of Whitinsville, Stephen Arnold of Franklin and Sharon Guertin and her husband Walter of Attleboro. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas, and Krista.
Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral service which will be held on Friday, April 29 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St., Franklin.
Visitation will be 11:00 to Noon.
Following a brief service at Noon, burial will be in the Union Street Cemetery.
