DALY, Michael of West Roxbury, more recently of Braintree, originally of Cabra West, Dublin, Ireland, passed away unexpectedly on April 20, 2022. Beloved husband of Eileen (Donnelly) Daly for 60 years. Devoted father of Michael J. Daly and his wife Elizabeth Howitt of Canton, Thomas F. Daly and his partner Linda Frank of Hanson, Kevin P. Daly and his wife Kim of Oviedo, FL., Daniel Daly of Whitman, and the late Patricia M. Daly. Loving grandfather of Noelle, Colin, Rowan, Maura, Kaitlyn, and Nicolas. Brother of Bridget Daley of England, Patrick Daly of Melrose, Margaret Joyce of Medford, Sean Daly of FL., and the late Chistopher “Noel” Daly, and Peter Daly. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Michael was a dedicated employee of Polaroid Corp. for 37 years. Michael and Eileen enjoyed many winters in Bradenton, FL., where they enjoyed memberships in many social organizations including New World Celts, Elks, Moose Club, and Sons of the American Legion. Also they were longtime members of the Irish Social Club of Boston, where they enjoyed the dances.
Visiting hours will be held at the P.E. Murray - F.J. Higgins, George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home 2000 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY on Sunday, April 24th from 2-6pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Monday, April 25th at 9am, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Theresa’s Church at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Michael’s memory to Dana Farber Cancer Research Institute, 44 Binney St. Boston, MA 02215.
