Beloved mother of Karen and her husband John Aharonian. Cherished grandmother of Alyssa and Kirk Aharonian. Devoted sister of the late Diane Matevosian. Daughter of the late Aznive and Hovagim Matevosian. Dear cousin of Paul and Joyce Barsam. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Robert Najarian, Renee Najarian and Kerri Mansberg, Charles, Ara and Julie Barsam, Sharon, David, Anthony and Isabella DeMarco, Melissa and Sean Hegarty.
Rose grew up in Chelsea with her sister, mother, father and grandmother. Days were filled with happy childhood memories with cousins and relatives. She graduated from Chelsea High School. Rose worked at General Electric in early years and then at Houghton Mifflin Publishing Company in Boston.
Rose had a big heart. She will be remembered for her undying devotion to her family and the care, compassion and support she extended to others throughout her life. She inspired everyone who knew her with unconditional love and a fun-loving spirit. Rose created a loving home for her daughter. She joined her mother and sister in Arlington and lived there for over 50 years. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she always cherished their connection. Rose was a role model and a strong, independent woman. She approached each day with a positive energy and found joy in the simple moments of just being with loved ones. She enjoyed weekends at the Cape, going on vacations, cooking, playing cards, reading and watching movies. Her happiest days were those spent welcoming relatives and friends to her home.
Though she will be missed every day, she will live on forever in our hearts.
