Scott Franco, 54, of New Bedford MA passed away on April 16th 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital.
Fall River native, Scott was born June 4th, 1968 to Claudette Franco and the late Byron Franco.
Scott worked in the local construction industry where he honed his craft of building and woodworking. In his free time, he enjoyed watching movies, particularly horror flicks or anything true crime related. Scott enjoyed the beauty in all living things and had a unique connection and bond with animals. Aside from that, Scott had another passion in life, and that was football. He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and was keen on the logistic of the sport itself. Scott would spend any time he could coaching and sharing his knowledge and love of the sport with everyone.
Scott shared his life and his heart with his partner of over 20 years, Christy Saba, who precedes him after death.
He leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends who were always entertained by his stories and hilarious sense of humor. Anyone who knew Scott knew he never lost his childlike spirit and love for life and strived to be a positive influence on the next generation of his family.
Scott cherished his children and devoted his life to his family, he is survived by his children: Justin Franco, of Fall River, Laura Franco, of Fall River and Christopher Franco of New Bedford. His stepdaughters Ashley Saba, Amber Saba, and Amanda Saba all of New Bedford. His loving grandchildren Olivia, Lilian, and Mason. As well as his sisters Linda Franco and Debbie Franco and the late Sandy Franco.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday, April 22, 2022 at 11 AM at South Coast Funeral Home Fall River, MA 02723 followed by and interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be Friday morning from 9-11 AM, prior to the funeral service.
