Aurora (Fazio) DiSalvo passed away peacefully at her Medford home on Friday, April 15th. She was 77. Born and raised in Augusta, Sicily, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Giuseppina (DeLuca) Fazio. Aurora came to the United States as a young woman. She married her late beloved husband Rosario, settled in Medford and raised her devoted sons. Aurora was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed many years of work with the famed wedding dress maker, House of Bianchi. Aurora was a wonderful neighbor and she loved to garden and cook for her family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she especially enjoyed spending time at the family home in Maine where she had a large garden and enjoyed the outdoors with her family.
The beloved wife of the late Rosario DiSalvo, she was a devoted mother to Vincent DiSalvo and his wife Kimberly of Dedham, Salvatore DiSalvo and his fiancée Brittany Sproul of Tewksbury and Vittorio DiSalvo and his wife Darlene of Tewksbury. She was a loving grandmother of Vincent, Giovanni, Logan, Gabriella and Isabella. Aurora was the dear sister of Isolina Gianino of Sarasota, FL, Aldagisa Costanzo of West Palm Beach, FL, Anita Gianino of West Palm Beach, FL, Vittorio Fazio of Malden, Costantino Fazio of Florida, Enrico Fazio of Kenzington, NH and Umberto Fazio of Somerville. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Aurora’s funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Friday, April 22nd at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 – 8 PM.
