Worcester – Clarence Doiron, 82, of Worcester, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022 in Saint Vincent Hospital after a brief illness surrounded by his loved ones.

Clarence is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Marguerite (Daigle) Doiron; his 5 children, Gloria St. Denis and her husband, John of Worcester, Louis Doiron and his wife, Michele Guerin of Rochdale, Lisa Frascolla and her husband, John of Auburn, Edmond Doiron and his wife, Angela of Fitchburg and Marcel Doiron of Sutton; two brothers, Felicien Doiron of Waltham and Bernard Doiron of Littleton; five sisters, Rosa Maillet, Aline Maillet, Azelle Dugas all of New Brunswick, Canada, Corinne Cotto and Laurise Cotto both of Wellesley, MA; six grandchildren, Elizabeth St. Denis, Scott St. Denis, Alissa Doiron, Christa Doiron, Jake Doiron and Cole Doiron; two great grandchildren, Serena and Isaiah Aisagbonhi and many nephews, nieces, and good friends and relatives.

Clarence was born in Acadieville, New Brunswick, Canada, son of the late Marcelin and Georgina (Gallant) Doiron and is also predeceased by a brother, Rosaire Doiron.

Clarence started his career as a construction foreman working for many different firms in the Boston area and then became the facilities manager for the former Tatnuck Arms Apartment Complex in Worcester for many years where he worked with great passion on a daily basis until his retirement. Clarence looked forward to the many trips he took while working as a part-time bus driver for the former Ritchie Bus Company. He enjoyed many driving jobs also working for the Worcester Regional Transit Authority and Consumer Auto Parts.

Clarence was a member of Christ the King Church and the Greendale Retired Men’s Club. He enjoyed being with his family and friends and truly loved that he recently was able to act as a babysitter for his two great grandchildren.

He was a longtime member of the former Worcester Lodge of Elks #243 where he served in countless capacities including Exalted Ruler and being on the Board of Trustees. Clarence was currently a member of the Auburn Lodge of Elks #2118. Clarence was a dedicated and faithful member of the Elks, where he will be missed by many.

The funeral for Clarence will be held on Monday, April 25 at 10 AM in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Memorial calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 24 from 5 to 8 PM at the Auburn Elks upstairs lounge, 754 Southridge Street, Auburn. Memorial donations may be mailed in Clarence Doiron’s name to the Auburn Elks #2118 for their scholarship fund (754 Southbridge Street, Auburn, MA 01501).
