Obituary

Worcester—Steven W. Erikson, 50, died Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at his parents’ home. He is survived by his parents, Francis J. and Barbara (Bottcher) Erikson, Sr. of Worcester; four brothers, Francis Erikson, Jr., of Lake City, FL, Ronald Erikson of Williamsburg, VA, Kenneth Erikson of Kingston, MA, and Gary Erikson of Seattle, WA; 6 nephews; and 4 nieces. He was born in Worcester and graduated from Worcester Boys Trade in 1974. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Steve worked for 7 years at the Everett Mink Construction Co. and was most recently self-employed. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed gardening, deer hunting, deep-sea fishing off his boat with friends, scuba diving for lobsters, and riding his Harley. During his short illness, he was lovingly cared for by his mother along with assistance from UMass/Memorial Hospice.

Calling hours will be held Friday, May 5, from 5-8 p.m. at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. His funeral service will be held Sat., May 6, at 3:00 p.m. at Nordgren Memorial Chapel.
